Gar is not feeling well
So, Garrett, what do you think of chocolate?
And this is what happens every single time I take my camera out to get product photos … he chases me saying “Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee” until he gets his photo taken, too :) Garrett is officially 16 months old today, and finally has teeth on top!
Me: So you like beans, Garrett?
Garrett: Yap
Me: Does the [hot wheels] car make them taste better?
Garrett: Mmmhmmm *vigorous nod*
Smart alec. Takes after his sister already.
Nursing a toddler
Sometimes it’s a lot like wrestling an angry octopus; there are all these flailing limbs and painful suction involved.
So my son doesn’t seem to be able to concentrate on a task for more than two seconds. With most tasks, this is totally fine … I mean he’s 12 months old so everything is pretty interesting to him. This makes nursing when we’re out that much more challenging. I wear him in a sling which normally covers up everything and lets me doing the shopping while he does his thing. He has figured out how to pull on the side of the sling abruptly pop up like a demented kangaroo and babble at anyone who speaks to me. This is a fun game for him, little bit awkward for me. Unfortunately this pretty often turns into what I like to call “Peek-a-boobie”. My apologies to the checkout lady.
Tooth count: 2
Garrett finally has another tooth. If this rate remains constant he will have all of his teeth just in time for them to fall back out.

I ask Garrett what he’s doing and get a baleful look and a sullen “Wut?” as a response. He likes to heave heavy sighs as well. Such a world weary attitude this one has. Maybe he just needs a cup of coffee.
